Question: Do you pay for the silver recovered from the x-ray film? how much?
Answer: Yes, we do pay for the x-ray film silver, we pay per lb of x-ray films
we receive, for medical x-rays we have two different price quotes, one price is for film in the paper jackets and
for net film out of jackets. Question: How much do you pay
per lb of x-ray film?
Answer: The price we pay per lb varies and it is based on the
silver spot

Question: Do you pick-up ? Is there any fee for the pick-up? how much?
Answer: Yes, we do pick-up nationwide, in 99% of the cases the pick-up is free, in
rare cases when there is a very small quantity of x-ray film there might be a
pick-up charge, that charge is fixed for each state
individually, please find out free pick-up

Question: I noticed that you are based out
of Florida, I am located in Houston, TX and I have some outdated x-rays that I would like to dispose of, do you only
pick-up in FL or can you pick-up in any other state? Answer: We
pick-up nationwide, even in California, Texas, New York, New Jersey, Alabama,
Washington, Georgia, Oregon or any other state in the US. We also pick-up in
Puerto Rico. We also pick-up in Hawaii.

Question: If I have approximately 100 lbs of films, will I get paid for it?
Answer: Yes, we pay money for any load of films that we pick-up.
Question: If my pick-up fee is $40.00 and the value of my films based on your
price is $100.00, will I be credited for the difference? Answer:
Yes, based on that calculation, we will mail you a check for $60.00.

Question: Do you provide some kind of a document which certifies that
the films are disposed of properly?
Answer: Yes, B.W. Recycling, Inc provides a certificate of destruction for all x-ray and MRI films we
receive in, the certificate assures that the films and all other medical records
that we received such as paper jackets or charts with patients names or other
information is destroyed and recycled according to HIPAA rules and the EPA guidelines and regulations.

Answer: Yes, we do sign a HIPAA business associate agreement

Question: We have both X-Ray and MRI films, do you take it all? do we have to
separate it?
Answer: We recycle and pay for all kinds of films, including medical X-Ray, MRI films, radiographs,
CT scans, mammography film and all other medical film. We also take lithographic film and industrial films
NDT / NDE film, there is no
need to separate the films. we also take dental x-ray film, please note that
we take dental film out of the jackets.
Question: My x-ray films are in the jackets (envelopes) and has
patient's names and other information on it, do I have to erase the names or take the films out of the jackets?
Answer: No, there is no need to erase your patients name or any other
information from the jackets, or take the x-ray films out of the
jackets, we do that process in our facilities, all of the envelopes are recycled as well and treated as sensitive information which makes it 100% safe.
Question: I might have some paper records accompanied with the
x-ray films, do I need to remove these?
Answer: No, there is no need to remove any medical records that might be
accompanied with the actual x-ray film, we separate these from the x-rays in our
facility and it is being destroyed and recycled securely.

Question: How do I know how many lbs of x-ray films I have?
Answer: Other than weighing your x-rays with any accurate scale, there are few ways of how you can estimate the weight of your x-ray films load, please see the chart here.

Question: What do I have to do in order to prepare my films for pick-up?
Answer: You will need to put all of your films in 1 or more boxes, you have to
make sure that each box does not exceed 60 lbs and not less than 40 lbs, you can use any size or shape
boxes, the boxes has to be taped shut and tape all around to make sure the boxes does not fall apart during transport, now you can call us to schedule
a pick-up.
Question: I do not have boxes, can
you provide it?
Answer: Yes, we are able to provide you with shipping boxes for you to fill-up with your x-ray
film, please ask our representative about this option.
Question: We have a lot of x-ray film on shelves in the office and we do not have
the ability to put the film in boxes, can you come and pick-up our films?
In some cases we will be able to send a crew to take your film out of the
filing cabinets as well, we only do that for large loads of films, please ask
our representative about this option. We can also have the option to have our
crew purge the film at your location.

Question: I am located in Huntsville, Alabama, If I
schedule a pick-up today, How long will it take you to pick-up my films?
Answer: We will usually arrive on the same day you scheduled the pick-up, in
some other cases it will be picked-up in the following morning, regardless of
your location.
Question: What do I have to do in order to schedule a pick-up?
Answer: All you have to do is either call us @ 1-877-217-7020 or simply go to our
schedule pick-up form and fill out the information, we will than call you in
order to confirm everything. please

Answer: Absolutely, B.W. Recycling, Inc is licensed and insured, B.W. Recycling, Inc is also 100% responsible for the destruction of the medical records from the moment it leaves your possession.
Is B.W. Recycling an actual X-Ray film recycling company or are you a broker?
B.W. Recycling, Inc is an actual recycling company, we are registered with the
EPA (US Environmental Protection Agency).

Question: Do you only recycle medical x-rays or there are other types of film you can take?
Answer: We take all types of radiology film that contains
silver for recovery, such as Medical x-rays, industrial NDT / NDE film and
lithographic film, please follow this link to view a

Question: Can I just send my x-ray film to you for
proper disposal? will it cost
anything? will you pay me for it?
Answer: You can always send your film to us, there is no charge for us to
accept your film and recycle it for you, we will also mail you a certificate of destruction with no charge
which states that your x-rays has been disposed of properly. In this case we only pay for the films when we get
50
lbs or more of film. When shipping boxes or envelopes of x-ray film for
disposal to us, please make
sure you include all of your contact information so we can mail a certificate of destruction.
